This collar allows you train a dog at a range of up to 250 m. For the best results, the remote control should be held vertically above the head, at arm's length.
Note that different types of obstacles varying in thickness (woods, mountains, etc.) can reduce the real range. The range also varies depending on the dog's size.
Directions for use
Your Canicom 250S collar will perform best if you respect the following recommendations:
- When you send a signal to the dog, hold the remote up high in the air.
-when you put the collar around your dog's neck, check that the light is clearly visible and is not in contact with the dog's breast
-to extend the battery life, remember to store your collar in a place where the temperature does not drop below 0°C.
Range according to biotope
The maximum range is 250 m, but this can change depending on the biotope:
-on open terrain, optimal range of up to 220 m with the remote control in your hand and your arm raised (160 m when the remote control is on your waist)
-in woodland, optimal range of up to 180 m with the remote control in your hand and your arm raised (160 m when the remote control is on your waist)
