Recommendations for application

Obtain the tree owner's consent before applying any pine tar.

Choose a tree of little value, 20 cm minimum in diameter, cut off the lower branches up to a height of about one metre. Make a few horizontal 1 - 2 cm cuts in order to impregnate the bark. Paint the tar on with a brush, starting at the top and letting the product run down the trunk.
