Our foil, for making your flying wishes come true
Our aim was to let you enjoy your favourite spots in as many wind conditions as possible, all with just one foil.
We've designed a versatile foil:
- With good lift at low speeds: It will let you navigate in low winds while maintaining a progressive take-off.
- It stays balanced in stronger wind, so you can stay in control even in more turbulent conditions.
Two advantages: Scalable and adaptable
- Compatible with the entire TAAROA range: You can adapt and upgrade your foil however you like, from the front kite to the stabiliser, mast and airframe, it's all interchangeable!
- The foil has the standard double US box (system for attaching the foil to the board), which makes it compatible with most boards on the market.
What level is it best for? What activity is it best for?
Designed for autonomous foilers, our foil is loved for its glide: It will let you fly in low winds and will facilitate your manoeuvres.
- It can also be suited to beginners: Tolerant, you can easily fly and the foil will accompany you as you progress.
After-Sales Service and resistance
- In the event of breakage or loss, you'll find each element of the foil on our website (front kite, stabiliser, airframe, deck, mast, airframe adapter and screws).
- In the airframe, the screws are held in offset stainless steel screw threads (which means that they're not attached to the equipment) and can thus be interchanged in the event of breakage or damage to the screw thread.
Front wing 1/3
- This versatile kite has great lift and works well in as many wind conditions as possible. The pumping is effective and the glide is maximised.
- The ratio of the foil (extended out) means you can continue to glide, even with edge changes, which makes manoeuvres easier.
- Slightly pronounced delta in order to find the best balance between gliding and manoeuvrability.
Front kite 2/3
- Design: Different thicknesses of fibreglass (dual- and uni-directional) to optimise the foil's rigidity and solidity.
- It's assembled with the universal Taaroa system: 3x off-centre M8 screws to provide perfect hold - robustness indicator - easy to assembly and dismantle.
- Finish with rounded tips: Means you can reduce the injury risk (in case of contact with the foil) and the risk of tearing (if contact with sail).

DIMENSIONS
1.200 cm²
Span: 870 mm
Cord: 171 mm
Weight: 1,100 g / (Full foil without cover: 4.8 kg) (+/- 10%)
1,500 cm²
Span: 970 mm
Cord: 187 mm
Weight: 1,200 g / (Full foil without cover: 4.9 kg) (+/- 10%)
1,900 cm²
Span: 1,070 mm
Cord: 209 mm
Weight: 1,500 g / (Full foil without cover: 5.2 kg (+/- 10%)
Stabiliser
- Stabiliser with high ratio (very extended out) but with a low delta and a homogeneous dihedral (single curve) in order to opt for gliding without compromising on manoeuvrability.
- Finish with rounded tips here, as well.
DIMENSIONS
300 cm²
Span: 468 mm
Cord: 77 mm
Weight: 290 g (+/- 10%)
- Attachment based on a concave part of the airframe: If you want, you can adjust the incline to adjust the foil's power.
Tips for the stabiliser
- In a central position, the foil is balanced for 50/50 pressure under both feet.
- If you move the stabiliser forward, the pressure under the front foot is reduced and the foil will be less powerful: This is great if there's a lot of wind or for beginners, allowing for a gentler take-off.
- If you pull the stabiliser back, the power of the foil and the pressure under the front foot is increased, which is interested for advanced riders wanting a good rotation effect for light winds or jumps.
Mast
Mast, 80 cm:
- Good compromise for maximum versatility (Wing / Kite / Surf).
- Rigid for a direct and precise return (reactivity) between your pressures and the foil will give you better control.
- Hydrodynamic mast profile to generate as little drag as possible and to ensure a good glide quality.
Airframe
Airframe, 62 cm:
- In 6061 cast, worked and anodised aluminium for maximum resistance and robustness.
- Offset screw threads (replaceable) in stainless steel thanks to an insulating grease between the materials to reduce the risk of corrosion.
- Conical mast/airframe assembly so you never have slack in your foil.
Deck
- In 6061 cast, worked and anodised aluminium for maximum resistance.
- Impression of "open" screws to facilitate the set-up of the foil: No need to fully unscrew the screws to be able to insert them into the deck (really saves time when getting your kit ready and less risk of losing a screw as they're not completely separated from the board).
- Rubber surface underneath the deck to protect the hull of the board.
How to choose the right foil (size in cm²)
1,200 cm²: For users weighing up to 65 kg or advanced riders looking for a more playful wing in strong winds.
1,500 cm²: For users weighing 65 to 85 kg. Suitable for light beginners to larger bodies for a more athletic session. This is the most versatile kite in our range.
1,900 cm²: For users weighing over 85 kg. This is the most powerful kite in the range and will allow you to fly at very low speeds.
The foil comes with
- Each element of the foil: Front wing, stabiliser, deck, mast, airframe and its adapter.
- Its screws: Two M6 screws for the stabiliser, eleven M8 screws for the rest of the elements.
- Tools: M6 allen key and M8 allen key included.
- Extra screws for in case of loss: Two M8 screws and one M6 screw.
- Its carry bag.
Easy transport and assembly
- Carry bag: A great carry bag with a shoulder strap, which will make it easier for you to carry your kit from the car to the spot.
- Great protection for your foil with thick foam padding.
- Top opening for optimised and smart storage.
- Central marker on the deck (saves time and precision when assembling).
