Roof bar compatibility
Compatible with ISO11154 certified roof bars for a load greater than 75kg (dynamic weight).
The distance between the roof and the top of the roof bar must be greater than 7.5 cm and the width of the roof bar tube must be less than 9.5 cm (see the diagrams in the product sheet photos).
Check that your roof bars and tent are properly fastened each time you use it.
It’s not compatible with longitudinal roof bars.
What are dynamic and static loads?
This tent needs a 75 kg load capacity, a so-called "dynamic" load, i.e. when the vehicle is moving. When the vehicle is stationary, the maximum static load capacity is much higher.
Don't worry, once installed and stationary, your roof bars will be able to support the roof tent, as well as the weight of the people inside (200 kg in total).
Pitching
Ideally, it takes 4 people to assemble it.
Watch the pitching tutorial video and/or read the instructions in the bag carefully.
Remove the cover and unclip the two side buckles.
Grab the ladder and use it to tilt the tent.
Adjust the ladder so that the tent is flat, and properly secure the bars, so that they are locked in place before you can stand on them.
Tilt the 3rd board before inflating your tent, following the pressure instructions (7 psi).
Why choose a more compact roof tent?
Its 3-panel structure increases the compactness so that:
Space is freed up on the roof bars when you are driving, therefore enabling you to carry sports equipment to your holiday destination (depending on the dimensions of your vehicle).
Installing it on the roof bars is easier.
Wind surface area is reduced and therefore overconsumption while driving.
Storage is easier.
It is better suited to smaller cars and has less overhang.
