TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS
How did we improve the thermal insulation of this padded jacket?
We used the H-shaped partitioning technology to avoid thermal bridges between the outer and inner components.
In addition, this padded jacket has several insulating chambers strategically placed in areas likely to have air penetration:
- Neck
-Top of the hood
-The front zip
-The cuffs
What is the advantage of the seams being in an H shape?
This padded jacket has a partitioning between the inner and outer fabric. This creates a space filled with down that prevents thermal bridges.
What have we done to make this padded jacket last longer?
This padded jacket has inserts made of more durable fabric on the wrists, shoulders and hood. These inserts are 100% polyester at 96 g/m2 and 50 deniers.
The main fabric, made of 20 denier polyamide, is reinforced mesh in order to limit the number of tears.
However, a snag can always happen, and you can repair it with one of our self-adhesive patches.

What are the advantages of duck down and feather filling?
This padded jacket, made up of 90% down and 10% feathers, has a fill power of 800 cuin which gives it a range of qualities for trekking:
- Excellent warmth for minimal weight.
- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers
- Ultra lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth.
- Ultra-compressibility.
Is this padded jacket water repellent?
The main fabric of this down jacket is water-repellent, but not waterproof. This means that drops of water roll off the fabric, meaning water doesn’t soak into the jacket as quickly, giving you time to find some shelter.
The reinforced fabric is placed in practical areas (head, shoulders and wrists) and it is waterproof.

How to wash your padded jacket.
To wash your trekking padded jacket, here are the steps you need to follow:
1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Spin on an 800–1000 spins-per-minute cycle.
2/ Tumble dry on synthetic mode with two or three tennis balls, and repeat two or three times until it is completely dry.
3/Once your down jacket is dry, you can use a spray to reactivate the jacket’s water repellency.
