WARM AND COMFORTABLE, THIS HOODED CYCLING JERSEY IS THE PERFECT COMPANION FOR ALL YOUR GRAVEL RIDES!
We chose to incorporate 29% merino wool in our jersey because it has many assets: its greater thermal resistance helps retain the heat generated by your body as you ride. And because we know that the weather conditions during gravel rides can sometimes be extreme, we equipped our jersey with an under-helmet hood and a windproof component on the upper body and sleeves.
A MERINO WOOL HOODED JERSEY
Our cycling jersey is perfectly suited to long and moderate workouts. However, we do not recommend using it for intensive workouts.
ORIGINS OF THE MERINO WOOL IN THIS GRAVEL JERSEY
We only use wool from Merino sheep raised on farms in South Africa which do not use mulesing.
FOCUS ON THE FEATURES OF OUR MERINO WOOL JERSEY
To keep you warm, our jersey is made of 29% merino wool. The collar opens and closes with a zip. Our jersey also has four pockets: two zip front pockets, one zip pocket across the back, and two inner non-zip pockets. We also provided our jersey with a windproof merino wool under-helmet hood. Finally, the front side of the sleeves and the top of the jersey (front/back) are lined with a windproof layer.
A LONG-SLEEVED CYCLING JERSEY THAT'S PERFECT FOR COOL TEMPERATURES
We tested this product during the fall and winter of 2021/2022 in cool and cold weather, and we loved riding with it!
It's ideal for temperatures between 5°C and 10°C worn with a long-sleeved merino underlayer, and if you start feeling the cold, we recommend wearing the hood, which fits perfectly under a helmet.
Its urban style makes it perfect for daily use or breaks during long-distance rides.
TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE HOODED CYCLING JERSEY
Our hooded Merino wool jersey is very close fitting:
- If your BMI (Body Mass Index) is under 25%, you can choose your usual size.
- If your BMI is from 25 to 30%, we recommend purchasing one size above your usual size.
- Finally, if your BMI is greater than 30%, you can choose a hooded jersey that is two sizes (or more, depending on body type) above your usual size.
TIPS FOR MAINTAINING YOUR CYCLING JERSEY
We recommend turning your jersey inside-out and fully closing the zip before machine washing.
Your jersey should be machine washed at 30°C on a wool cycle.
It should be air dried in a dry, ventilated place on a wide hanger so that the garment retains its original shape at the shoulders. We advice against using a dryer, fabric softener, dry cleaning, chlorine bleach, or placement on a radiator
THE FULL CYCLING OUTFIT AND CYCLING EQUIPMENT YOU NEED
As you'll suspect, during gravel rides, you'll first need our merino wool cycling jersey, but also an underlayer, cycling shorts, or leggings. We recommend having a neck warmer, a pair of long gloves, a pair of warm socks, a helmet, sunglasses, shoes with cleats, a bag with puncture repair equipment, and don't forget a water bottle and good snacks.
HOOD
We chose to add an under-helmet hood in order to preserve thermal comfort of the head and, thus, of the whole body.
We have lightened the material around the ears and added a more open component than Merino (black part visible on the photo) to improve the perception of surrounding noise, especially traffic.
