Why should you play padel with specific shoes?
Padel is played on sand-filled artificial grass. This makes the court very slippery. Padel shoes have a sole with a specific shape so that players of all levels have the grip they need. They also provide lateral stability, foot support, and cushioning as they absorb impacts.
Mesh upper: Stay dry, match after match
The Kuikma PS 990 Dynamic is equipped with a breathable, very flexible mesh upper for optimal comfort and to keep your feet cool.
Dual Grip padel sole
This specialist padel sole grips the floor well as you push off and hit, without sticking.
It's all thanks to the two-part sole with a separate design at the front and back to adapt to every type of padel movement.

Stretch sock liner at the heel
Elasticated sock structure to provide an excellent fit and keep your feet supported throughout the match.
Pivot Point
Since padel is a sport where you have to constantly change directions, Kuikma decided to integrate a pivot point into its shoes to promote foot rotation. It is located at the forefoot.
EVA foam
There is EVA foam in the midsole and heel. Kuikma built EVA Cushioning into the midsole, a dense foam that optimises explosive movements, and a low-density EVA insert in the heel for greater comfort.

Padel shoes can make a big impact on performance. When choosing yours, you'll want to consider the following details: comfort (the length of your foot, shoe size, materials etc.); cushioning (technologies that ensure good cushioning); stability (laces, a length of fabric that wraps around the ankle and keeps your foot stable); traction (robust outsole); and robustness.

Test product
Our research centre is based in Spain and is specialised in design and engineering. Its role is to identify users' needs and feed them back to our design centre in France. The prototypes are tested on padel courts by users who represent that particular need. Their is then tested in the lab at our design centre. These tests mean that we can thoroughly check the quality of our products.
