RESTRICTIONS OF USE
Do not use in strong WIND exceeding 20 km/h (10 knots).
Remove the LEASH first, before fitting the board onto your rack.
Follow the Highway Code.
This rack is designed to carry ONE BOARD.
ADAPTABILITY
Designed to carry ONE board (any type of board) up to 8' in length (equivalent to approx. 2.44 m), with a thickness of up to 4.7" (13 cm) and weighing up to 10 kg.
DIMENSIONS
Mount attached to the seat post: Length: 170mm / width 50mm / height: 65 mm.
Whole rack: Length: 170 mm / Width: 460mm / height: 590 mm.
Mount arm width: 130 mm.
First, measure the space available BEHIND the seat post to accommodate the dimensions of the surfboard rack base: you need 17 cm in length x 6.5 cm in height available to be able to install this system.
ASSEMBLY TIPS 1/5
We recommend carefully watching the assembly tutorial video and/or reading the instructions on the back of the packaging.
Scan the QR code printed on the front of the packaging and on the underside of the product to easily find the tutorial video.
1) Clean your seat post using a cloth and a degreasing product (E.g. ESSENCE F)
2) Place the mount at the bottom of your seat post, paying attention to its direction.
ASSEMBLY TIPS 2/5
3) Use the allen key supplied and screws/nuts to screw on the mount.
We recommend using a diagonal pattern with the screwing to make it easier to centre the mount. (Start by screwing in the upper-left, then the lower-right, and then the upper-right before finishing with the lower-left).
4) Mount the rack tubes by pressing on the grey metal push pin.
5) Insert the tubes into the mount and select an angle that suits your bike.
/!\ Check that the tube button is pressed in properly.
ASSEMBLY TIPS 3/5
6) Position your board on the rack tubes
/!\ Be careful of the weight of your board, which could set your bike off-balance
7) /!\ Get on your bike and check that the handlebars can turn with full range of motion.
If not, you can try using another notch. (Ideally, the front of the board should be a bit lower than the back, to allow for the handlebars to pass through, but be careful to keep a suitable distance between the front of the board and the ground).
ASSEMBLY TIPS 4/5
If you can't find a setting that corresponds to your bike, you can slightly off-centre the mount from the axle of your back wheel. By off-centring it on the right side, the rear of your board will be closer to the back wheel and the front of the board will be offset, leaving more space to turn the handlebars.
ASSEMBLY TIPS 5/5
8) When your board is correctly positioned, you can then attach the elastics. There are two hooks: One on the rack tube and the other on the upper section in the middle of the mount. Check that the elastics are taut
9) Before setting off, tighten the mount and seat post screws as much as possible to guarantee good stability during use.
EACH TIME BEFORE YOU SET OFF
Check thoroughly before setting off that:
- The mount and your seat post should be tightened and secured as much as possible
- Once the board is fixed, the HANDLEBARS can freely turn with full range of motion.
Prepare properly for your ride to ensure a good, smooth journey (no holes, pebbles or other obstacles) with space and as little traffic as possible.
USE
Three arm spacings possible for maximum adaptability to the style of board, very easy to adjust using the "clips" system (3 positions).
Arms covered with FOAM at the contact areas to protect the rails of your board.
Double elastics for a secure fit and hold of the board.
Follow the Highway Code.
Pay attention when on the move, taking care not to lean your bike too far into turns, as your board may touch the ground and get damaged.
CARE
Once a year, lubricate the screws of the base attached to the seat post using "universal grease" lubricant.
WEIGHT
Product weight (excluding packaging) = 2.6 kg.
