No compromise on your safety with RECCO®
This snowboard jacket comes with the RECCO® system.
With RECCO® technology, you can be located in the event of an avalanche. Someone who is equipped with RECCO® reflectors and is buried in the snow can be quickly and accurately located by the emergency services using the RECCO® tracker. RECCO® reflectors are not a substitute for an AVD. The RECCO® technology works as a complementary measure, increasing the chances of being found in time.

How can I be sure that my jacket is strong and durable?
Our snowboard jackets are guaranteed for 5 years. We offer repairs locally if your jacket is damaged. Contact us on our website to find out more about how to get your product repaired.
We take particular care in choosing all the elements and assembly processes that make up our ski and snowboard jackets so they are as durable as possible.
Our actions towards more environmentally-friendly design
We know the impact our sport has on the environment and we are dedicated to reducing the impact of our products as much as possible in order to protect our playing field. This vest was developed with the following features:
- 25% recycled main material (excluding membrane)
- 100% recycled fleece and dope dyed liner jacket
- Fluoride-free main material
What is Dope Dyeing?
Dyeing textiles uses lots of water, chemical products and energy. However, we enjoy wearing colour. To reduce this impact, we use the “Dope Dyed” technique where powder colour pigments are added when the yarn is produced (and not by soaking it in dye baths as is usually the case). This reduces consumption and the discharge of waste water from colouring our fabrics.
What we're not doing so well when it comes to our environmental impact
Despite our efforts, it's not always easy to reduce our impact as much as we would like. For this product, we are striving to:
- Changing the main material to a recyclable material
- Using dope dyeing for all of the materials.
- Find out how to make a product waterproof with a recycled membrane
- Make the membrane separable (or have the same chemical composition) to help recycle the product
Can I compare the products' environmental impact?
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over its entire life cycle and using various indicators. A score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the more eco-friendly products by comparing products of a similar type. Decathlon actively promotes this initiative:

Versatile and clever product.
This jacket was designed and co-created by and for snowboard enthusiasts. As well as the selected lines and components for a more durable product, we have designed an automatic adjustment system for your mittens or gloves. You will no longer need to spend time tightening your cuffs, and there will be no more cold snow stopping the Velcro from closing. Finally, we have chosen a 3-in-1 design with a fleece that you can wear or not to manage your thermal comfort.
Can I be sure my jacket will give me proper protection in bad weather?
To withstand bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.), the jacket has been developed with a component and assembly that keep the water out and reduce wind chill. To validate the waterproof properties, this product has been tested over several days of snowboarding in all conditions to validate its watertightness.
Water often gets in through the seams. Does my jacket have taped seams?
In addition to the waterproof fabric, we reinforce the waterproofing of the jacket with taped seams. These are heat-bonded waterproof strips placed on the seams inside the clothing to make it perfectly watertight. For this product, all seams (100%) are waterproof.
What is the water repellent feature of my jacket for?
The water-repellent feature makes water run off the fabric without seeping in thanks to a treatment applied to its outer surface. The fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. This treatment must be renewed during the life of the product, after 2 to 3 washes on average, using the products available in our stores. All the waterproof jackets that we design for snowboarders are water-repellent.
What is a membrane and what's it for?
A membrane is an extremely thin component (between 5 and 25 micrometres) applied to the internal surface of a textile substrate to give it excellent waterproof and breathable capabilities. Our membrane components stop water getting inside while allowing the water vapour generated by your body to pass through, when snowboarding.
How will my jacket keep me warm?
To keep you warm, we use faux-down wadding insulation. Wadding is a synthetic component made from polyester which stores more or less air, depending on the length of the fibres. Wadding can be standard, hi-tech or silicone-coated, each with different properties (warmth, light weight, elasticity, etc.).
How should I dress to avoid getting cold in the mountains?
To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule:
- Layer 1 or a second skin, to stay dry.
- Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in.
- Layer 3 or a protective layer to protect against the elements.
How can I stop snow from getting in my jacket?
Our jackets have elasticated snow skirts that can be adjusted at the waist. If you fall or are in fresh snow, the seal keeps the snow out. In addition, this model is equipped with our hermetic and automatic handle clamping technology. The sleeve fits perfectly over your gloves or mittens.
How to wash my jacket?
To optimise your jacket's performance and durability, we advise the following:
* Machine wash at 30°, synthetic programme.
* Turn the product inside out.
* Add a small amount of detergent. No softener.
* We recommend you wring it by hand.
* Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place.
Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can restore the water resistance of the outer fabric using a fabric waterproofing spray. Read the care label.
