THE SUPREM RANGE - A TRIBUTE TO PLEASURE AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE!
Our design team set themselves an ambitious challenge: to design the most technically superior rod since the creation of our Caperlan brand.
To rise to that challenge, Thomas (product manager) and Gautier (engineer) drew up a precise set of specifications based on ultra-sensitivity, aimed at offering you an unbeatably enjoyable experience.
This is no ordinary rod: it is a true gem, beautifully elegant and simple. In terms of performance, try it and you’ll be hooked!
VERY HIGH-MODULUS CARBON: 40 T AND 46 T
We used very high-modulus carbon to make the blank as technically sophisticated as possible. No need to use heavy sinkers or to compress the fibres forcibly to reach long distances. Mastering the SUPREM to get the best possible performance is much simpler than that: just let this incredible slow-action blank do its work without restricting it.
That may seem counter-intuitive when you’re not used to it, but you’ll be won over straight away when angling.
THE RIGHT WEIGHT
During testing, we cast 90-gram sinkers easily over a distance of more than 150 m with the 13’ model. Increasing the weight is detrimental to the overall performance and may weaken the blank, which is why we recommend you respect the authenticity, technical and purity of the SUPREM rod by using it with sinkers weighing less than 110 grams (12’ and 13’ models) or less than 100 grams (9’ and 10’ models). A sure way to boost performance!
SLOW ACTION
When you opt for slow action, you get more enjoyment out of your combats. This is because the blank works along its entire length, right up to your hands. That's a truly unique, highly enjoyable feeling.
Of course, we do not recommend the SUPREM for fishing with obstacles, which require a very large casting weight in the butt to extract the fish. For this specific case, the most suitable rod is the POWER model, with its incredible casting weight.
5 XTREM 900 RANGES,
FOR 5 SPECIFIC USES
The Power model is powerful and precise to guarantee very long-distance casting and intense combats.
The Suprem is touch-sensitive, technically sophisticated and quick, for unbeatable enjoyment during combats and casting.
The Full Cork is versatile and comfortable whatever the conditions.
The Compakt has a telescopic butt and a large casting weight reserve for roving anglers.
CAUTION!
Before casting, check that the joints are properly assembled. A poorly inserted spigot is the main cause of rod breakage.
Casting with a dry leader increases the risk of breaking your line. To avoid this problem, you can moisten the body of the line before casting.
