Thermal properties / isothermal
The tube on your kit is insulated with a vulcanised expanded thermo-plastic elastomer (TPE-V) sheath and the pipette is protected by a polypropylene (PP) cap. So the drinking water IN THE TUBE will be colder than if there was no insulation and won't freeze so fast in the winter.
The insulation of the sheath doesn't influence the temperature of the water in the water bladder.
Thermal properties (next)
This isothermal product is tested according to the following protocol: the isothermal tube and classic tube are filled with water at room temperature then placed in an environmental room at -15°C. We then measure the time it takes for the water in the tube to get down to 0°C, and then freeze. The thermal performance of the insulated pipette increases the time the water takes to reach 0°C by 27% compared to a classic tube.
Directions for use
Use water at temperatures between -20°C and +40°C. Do not use: alcohol, fats (dairy products, oils...). In temperatures below 0°C, blow in the pipette after each use to remove the water from the tube into the water bladder and reduce the risk of ice in the pipette and tube.
Functions
Mouthpiece with an on / off position (turn the grey part of the teat) to prevent untimely water loss during your outings. To drink you need to place the mouthpiece in the “on” position then suck, pulling on the mouthpiece with the mouth. The cap protects the mouthpiece from dirt or contact with the ground.
First use
Rinse the entire product 3 times with clear water before using for the first time.
Care tips
Clean the bladder and the tube + pipette after each use with standard dishwashing liquid. You can use B-TWIN brush + drying hanger kit (code: 631585) particularly if you've had a sugary drink. Do not leave drink in water bladder for longer than 24 hours. Do not put in the dishwasher or microwave.
