TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS
Eco-design
Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this environmental impact, we use a mass pigmentation process that involves adding the colour pigments when the yarn itself is produced.The back mesh of the bag is dyed using mass pigmentation. This dyeing process is called “Dope Dyed".
Waterproofing
The backpack has been designed using a fabric that is waterproof up to 2,000 Schmerbers and has 100% taped seams to stop water getting inside. We have chosen a rolling closing system like the one on canyoning backpacks. As such there is no risk of the water going through a zip for example. The "canyon" type fastening is the most effective to stop water from getting inside the bag.

This compact backpack has been tested in the field by independent users from outside the Forclaz teams. For several days, they were able to enjoy and sometimes make changes to the features of the test samples, ending up with a product that completely meets their needs for future trips.

100% of the fabric color is made by dyeing the yarn at the source
Dyeing textiles requires lots of water but also leads to lots of water waste generated in dyeing vats. To reduce this environmental impact, we choose solution dyeing, which integrates colour pigments when manufacturing the thread.
