_ Reinforced top sheet (top coating of the board) for a more durable rental snowboard
Programme/terrain
During snowboard lessons, very quickly (sometimes even at the end of the first week of classes), instructors teach kids to slide back to be immediately at home in both directions. Based on this observation, we have designed this board with a Twin Tip shape (symmetrical at the front and back). These kids’ freestyle snowboards are also the most versatile because they ride as well on piste as at the edges of the piste.
Which kids fit the 135 cm size?
This 135 cm board has been developed, tested and validated for kids from 1.45 m (-10 cm) to 1.6 m (-25 cm).
Be careful with boys with big feet. If you are over bigger than size 6.5, you will have to switch to the Endzone board (adult) in 142 cm. This board fits sizes 7, 8 and possibly 9 when properly adjusted.
Flat camber + rocker
A flat camber offers the best compromise between a standard camber which provides traction and dynamic motion, and a reverse camber which provides manoeuvrability when turning but little traction. It’s perfect for the park freestyler and beginner because:
- The flat camber provides stability on modules and on the slopes
- The rocker makes it more forgiving in parks and on the slopes as the 4 corners of the board don't touch the snow when the board is flat.
Soft and forgiving torsion
The Endzone Junior has a torsional flex, which is the stiffness of the board between the feet, of about 2/5, which makes the board easy to handle, pivot and more forgiving of edge errors. Soft torsion for free movement between the feet. It is important at the beginner level: forgiving of edge errors.
0 mm setback
The setback is when the board's compression points with the snow are not symmetrical in relation to the centre of the board, but set back towards the rear. The bindings are also set back towards the rear by the same distance.
no setback = these are fully centred Twin Tip boards, not only for riding in both directions, but also for remaining balanced during rotations in the air and on the slopes.
Technical information
Front Width 275 mm / Centre 238 mm / Rear 275 mm
Radius 7.0 m
Effective edge 1,020 mm
Number of inserts: 2 x 6 (2 possible positions per binding / 40 mm between each position)
Recommended stance: 460 mm
2 possible positions for each binding
We recommend:
_ For kids from 1.45 to 1.5 m, place the bindings on the 2 positions closest to the centre of the board (everything is centred)
_ For kids from 1.5 to 1.55 m, place the front binding on the position closest to the centre of the board, and the back binding on the position furthest back (tail shorter than the nose)
_ For kids from 1.55 to 1.6 m, place the bindings on the 2 positions farthest from the centre of the board (everything is centred).
