Shimano Nexus gear changes
This type of gear system is designed to let you change gears when stationary, without pedalling. It makes it easier to get your bike going again, particularly when you're carrying a lot of stuff.
The system is also shock-resistant because it's completely integrated into the rear wheel's hub and therefore needs very little maintenance.
There's a grip shifter to control it.
WARNING: the system needs you to stop pedalling for 1 second to change gears.
Frame
aluminium frame for a much more dynamic riding experience than a steel frame!
Internal brake and gear cable routing (inside the bike's frame) to reduce maintenance and damage during use and to keep the bike looking sleek.
Fork
Steel fork to absorb the small bumps in the road and keep you more comfortable as you ride.
Braking
Aluminium brake levers. Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes with 6-bolt rotors with a 160 mm diameter.
Replacement brake pads: Shimano Deore/Tektro/Auriga (8325111).

Imitation leather finish for a stylish look!
Lighting
Battery-free lighting with Shimano hub dynamo.
With the AXA front and back automatic hub dynamo lights (they turn on and adjust their brightness to suit the light levels), there's no more messing around charging batteries before setting off, and no more of the noise you'd get from a "bottle" dynamo. In addition, the rear light becomes brighter when you brake to indicate that you are slowing down, and the lights stay on for a few minutes after you've stopped so that you remain visible.
Visibility
Rear reflector built into the pannier rack.Reflective strips on the front and rear tyres to keep you more visible in the city when riding in any conditions.
Drivetrain
7-speed Shimano Nexus internal geared hub: 40 T single chainring, 170 mm aluminium cranks, and 18 T cog.
Development in metres: 3 m to 7.34 m.
This system is incredibly practical - and even essential - in town as it lets you change gear when stationary. In addition, it reduces the amount of maintenance required and prevents chain jumps.
Chain tensioner to reduce maintenance caused by wear.
KMC chain with a rust-proof treatment.
Shimano Nexus grip shifter for easier gear changes. Chainguard
Pedals
Aluminium city pedals for sturdiness and a nicer look than resin pedals.
Wheels
28", 36-spoke, double-walled, aluminium front and rear wheels to prevent recurring buckling and rim damage caused by poorly maintained roads and pavements.
Why have we chosen this wheel size? So that our users can enjoy a more comfortable experience and the ride quality that this wheel size offers.
The front wheel can be locked using the quick-release spindle, while the rear wheel screws on with nuts and bolts to dissuade thieves.
Tyres
700x42 low-pressure tyres to smooth out lumps and bumps and keep you more comfortable as you ride.
The Schrader valves make the tyres easier to inflate, even at a garage.
The ideal pressure is between 3.5 and 4 bars.
1 mm nylon tyre liner integrated into the tyre's tread.
Reflective bands to make you more visible.

CHOOSING YOUR SHOE SIZE
Size S/M is designed for riders 1.55 m to 1.75 m tall. Size L/XL is designed for riders 1.75 m to 1.95 m tall. If you are between the two sizes, choose the larger size for a more comfortable ride.
Maximum weight
This bike supports a maximum total weight of 100 kg (bike + rider + load).
Care / transport tips
To prevent punctures and to get the most out of your bike, check the tyre pressure every fortnight when you're using the bike daily, or before each ride if you only use it occasionally. Degrease and lubricate the chain as soon as dirt begins to accumulate. Wash with water. Do not use a pressure washer.
Transporting the step-through frame bike on a boot bike rack may require an adapter bar.
Use restrictions
Not suitable for off-road use. As this Dutch bike has very wide handlebars, take care when riding along narrow passages indoors or outdoors.
