NOT JUST ANOTHER PAIR OF CYCLING TIGHTS!
Whenever we design a new Van Rysel product, we look for performance first and foremost. So these cycling tights are not just another pair of cycling tights.
We wanted cycling tights with a windproof membrane for rides in cold temperatures, a new outer layer to allow you to stay comfortable on long rides, and cycling tights that will last you for years to come!
OUR DESIGN CHOICES
Each material used for these tights was chosen for its outstanding performance.
- Super Roubaix™, which is warm, soft and elastic, used as the primary material
- A windproof and water-repellent membrane on the thighs and shins
- Super Roubaix™ with a wear-resistant coating on the seat so that your tights last a long time
- Soft, flexible and breathable mesh for the bib straps and back
- An Elastic Interface pad for comfort during long rides
WHAT IS A MEMBRANE?
The membrane is a technical material that has impressive wind-resistant and water-repellent properties.
However, it is not waterproof, and therefore the garment is not waterproof.
The membrane's technical properties also make is less supple, which is why we only use it in areas that do not bend while pedalling.
ELASTIC INTERFACE PAD
Because nothing, not even slight discomfort, should come bother you during your long rides, we decided to work together with the best to come up with the pad of our cycling shorts.

DIFFERENT PAD COLOURS?
We completed the design of these tights at the end of the 2020 winter. Then due to the lockdown, we ran into supply issues for the colours we had originally selected. So together with our suppliers, we decided to make the tights with the fabric colours available rather than run the risk of not being able to offer you these tights for the 2020 winter season.
The pads are identical, there are no differences in quality, only the colour may be different—and that will be a surprise!
WHAT IS THE "EMBOSSED" MODEL?
We offer two versions of these cycling tights: one with a classic understated and streamlined look, and the other with an embossed design.
The embossed pattern is purely a cosmetic design choice that gives your tights a bit of depth (and makes them less smooth), but does not lessen its technical qualities in any way.
CARE ADVICE
Your tights are there to protect you—take good care of them!
Use a gentle 30°C cycle, do not tumble dry, do not dry clean, and do not iron. Don't turn inside out when washing; line dry in a well ventilated area.
