EXPERIENCE
We've designed this PST 950 MIPS helmet with the aim of providing maximum field of vision with no blind spots for greater comfort and safety.
Its rotation system enables you to easily put your glasses on when the visor is raised or lowered.
Another benefit of this system is that it provides a better fit around the face and is more airtight than a simple rotation system.
HD OPTICAL QUALITY (HIGH DEFINITION)
The visor that is provided as standard is a “fair-weather” one (S3). It features HD technology for excellent quality of vision. HD optical quality enhances the most vivid contrasts on your playgrounds.
Tint: Purple / Pink.
No tools are required to remove it. A “bad-weather” visor is sold separately.
This is a single-lens visor with an anti-fog treatment on the inside (never wipe, but pat with a soft cloth).
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A HELMET WITH A VISOR?
- You can remove the visor (no tools required) and replace the original lens with a bad-weather lens (sold separately).
- The HD visor enhances contrast and gives you an extra-wide field of vision.
- 3D ear pads (prevents air from getting in, doesn’t crush your ears and allows you to hear better)
- Adjustable ventilation.
MIPS Technology
The PST 950 helmet is equipped with the MIPS anti-rotation system. Its purpose is to reduce the rotational energy of an impact and thereby reduce the risk of brain damage.
The low-friction layer (yellow layer under the helmet liner) allows multi-directional movement of 10 to 15mm with certain oblique shocks. This is to reduce the rotational force transmitted to the head and brain.
COMPATIBILITY
The rotation/transformation system ensures that the helmet is compatible with even the widest pairs of glasses.
ADJUSTMENT WHEEL
The adjustment wheel plays a key role in keeping your helmet secure. This system can be easily and precisely adjusted at any time using the easily accessible dial that you can even use with your skiing gloves. It also gives you comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.
EN 1077 Standard
This type of structure incorporates an outer shell, made of ABS, injection moulded to withstand powerful impacts. It is resistant to bumps and strikes. The internal EPOS skullcap absorbs impact and collision at the time of impact. We recommend changing your ski helmet at least every 5 years unless it has sustained a significant impact in the meantime.
WHAT SIZE?
* Measure your head’s circumference in centimetres (around the middle of the forehead and just above the ears).
* Choose the size that covers this measurement.
Example: if you have a head circumference of 56 cm, you should try a helmet in size 55-59 cm.
FITTING
Take plenty of time to try it on properly. You shouldn't feel any areas of discomfort. If you do then try another model. Always remember to try your visor helmet with your prescription glasses if you have them.
HELMET ADJUSTMENT
During practice, the ski helmet must be properly fitted and adjusted:
* It is essential to choose the right size.
* The head circumference must be adjusted using the thumb wheel.
* The chinstrap must be properly adjusted.
It's a bit like the seat belt in a car: if it’s too loose, it will not perform its function and you will be less protected.
Return terms and conditions (Specific product: personal protection equipment)
Make sure this product is right for you.
Otherwise, you can return it in accordance with our terms and conditions, i.e. with the instructions, labels and, if applicable, the original packaging.
REPAIRS
If your fair-weather visor gets scratched, it is available as a spare part.
A bad-weather visor is also available.
The system that holds the visor in place is also available.
The system works with a small elastic band. Should this one break over time, we have added two more on the chinstrap.
