Choosing your size
Refer to the table in the product images.
Consider the following 2 measurements: chest circumference, and back length (also see the user guide). If you find your measurements corresponding to two different sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size indicated for your product.
For example: if your chest circumference is a size M, and your back length is a size L, we recommend choosing a size L
Standards:
CE CERTIFICATION - The Air Bag body protector has been tested by the CRITT lab and certified by Alienor Certification (organisation that certifies protective equipment).
Airbags are classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Complies with standard: NF S72-800 :2022 (the only standard developed for horse riding airbag body protectors)
Adjustment
The Airbag should always be worn over the rest of your riding equipment. Wearing clothing on top may prevent the airbag from opening and slow the inflation time, and you risk being overcompressed by the inflated body protector during a fall. An airbag protector should not be worn cinched.
Use and operation of the airbag
The airbag attaches to the saddle at the stirrup knives using the "saddle strap", which connects to the airbag using a leash with a snap hook ("connection strap").
In the case of a fall or a sudden significant tension on the leash, the leash will detach from the body protector, causing it to inflate. All you need to "re-arm" it is to replace the cartridge with a new one and re-attach the system.
All explanations are available in the user guide.
Transport:
Please note: an air bag protector should not be folded or exposed to extreme heat (beach car not recommended) Due to its air cartridge, the protector cannot be sent outside of mainland France.
Competition regulations:
In the EEC, the Airbag body protector can only be worn in competitions when paired with a body protector that meets current standards, currently BETA level 3, CE EN 13158:2009.
Using compatible cartridges and accessories for body protectors:
The airbag protector is sold with a gas cartridge that should be replaced after each inflation.
The cartridge for adult Airbag body protectors should be 85 cc.
Using cartridges from another brand voids all manufacturer warranties and responsibility. The same applies to the accessories needed for the body protector to work properly (saddle strap and leash with carabiner (known as the "connection strap")). All parts are available from after-sales on our website or in store.
