Dimensions of the 5 kg weight
5 kg cast iron weight with rubber coating:
- Thickness: 32 mm
- Interior diameter: 28 mm
- External diameter: 252 mm
Why choose weights with a rubber coating?
The rubber coating on this weight cushions impacts and protects your floors.
Thanks to their ergonomic handle, you'll be able to use them with or without a bar! Ideal for cross training.
They are compatible with all our 28 mm diameter bars and easy to install thanks to their stainless steel collar.
How to find compatible bars
These weights are not compatible with Olympic bars (which have a diameter of 50 mm), but rather with 28 mm bars, including the following:
- 1.2 metre straight bar (ref.: 8289897)
- 1.2 metre curl bar (ref.: 8484124)
- 86 cm triceps bar (ref.: 8484125)
- 35 cm short bar (ref.: 1041986)
- 45 cm threaded bar (ref.: 8766096)
- 1.55 m straight bar (ref.: 8289896)
- 2 m straight bar (ref.: 8289900)
Weights, bar, and disc collar: the essential trio
To train safely, you'll need a pair of disc collars (ref: 8574652). They hold the weights in place on the bar.
Do not exceed 15 kg of weight with the Smart Disc Collars if using the bar vertically.
Our tips for storing your rubber-coated weight
This weight training disc is made of cast iron coated in rubber. However, it does not like moisture and may rust if exposed. That is why you shouldn't store this weight outdoors or in a damp place.
You can clean the rubber coating with a cloth to remove dust and store it on a wall-mounted weight holder (ref: 8796727) or on the bottom of a piece of furniture.
