CHOOSING YOUR SIZE

4 sizes available:

Size S: 1.50 m to 1.65 m.

Size M from 1.66 m to 1.77 m.

Size L from 1.78 m to 1.89 m.

Size XL: 1.90 m to 2.01 m.



Size S does not have bottle cage inserts on the frame. Bottle cages for handlebars are available and very practical (ref. 8487122).



If you are on the edge between 2 sizes: Get the smaller size if you want a more upright position.

Get the bigger size if you want a more stretched-out position.

0, 1, 2 or 3: choosing your assistance mode

Mode 0 – Assistance disabled.



Mode 1 - Gentle assistance at up to 25 km/h that means you can forget about the weight of the bike - battery life of around 100 km under normal conditions.



Mode 2 - Moderate assistance at up to 25 km/h - battery life of around 90 km under normal conditions.



Mode 3 - Boost assistance at up to 25 km/h for the most difficult ascents.

Battery life varies depending on the weight being transported (user + load), hills and the temperature outside.

Motor

The 36-volt brushless rear wheel motor has 250 Watts of power for a maximum torque of 42 Nm.



For example:

In mode 1, the motor increases your power by +90%, so if you pedal 100 W, the motor adds 90 W.

In mode 2, the motor increases your power by +150%, so if you pedal 100 W, the motor adds 150 W.

In mode 3, the motor increases your power by +220%, so if you pedal 100 W, the motor adds 220 W.

Battery

Batteries with 36 V 15 Ah (500 Wh) LG or Samsung lithium-ion cells and a locking system that prevents any vibrations to the battery as you ride.

Supplied with two lock keys.

Option to recharge on your bike or separately

We recommend recharging the battery after each use.

CONTROL SCREEN

LCD screen, backlit for better visibility both day and night.

Displays:

Speed, distance covered and overall, the remaining power and the mode.



You can also control the headlights and turn on Walk mode.USB plug for recharging your smartphone.

What is the assistance sensor?

A simple, clever system: the more you pedal, the more assistance is provided. You are in control of your speed and acceleration.



For those in the know, we're talking about the torque sensor fitted to the bottom bracket.

A frame designed for less weight and more comfort

Our engineers have designed this mixed 6061 aluminium frame. This frame provides optimal comfort and great versatility.

Inserts are included for a bottle cage (except size S model) and pannier rack.

Our designers added the Suntour NEX SF19 lockable and adjustable spring suspension fork.

Derailleurs and drive train

Quickly and easily change between the 8 speeds using the shifter on the handlebars.

Hybrid tyres

Comfortable, versatile, reinforced tyres from the brand CST Tirent so you can go anywhere.

Puncture protection.

The recommended pressure is between 4 and 5 bars (details on tyre sidewall).

28" double-walled wheels

Head off on tours with the Riverside 520E equipped with black reinforced double-walled aluminium wheels.

To transport your bike, the quick-release on the front wheel makes it easy to remove.

28-spoke front wheel and 36-spoke rear wheel.

Rear wheel nut can be removed with an 8 mm Allen key. (available in the btwin 900 multi-tools).

Wheel diameter = 28 inches (28-622).

Hydraulic disc brakes

Cycle safely on any terrain (dry/wet) thanks to the Tektro TKD 160 mm-diameter hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear.

Hydraulic brakes provide more precise braking as well as greater comfort using the brake levers.

Saddle

Because it's important that your seat position is adapted to your riding style, our teams developed the exclusive B'Twin Ergofit Trekking 500 saddle.

Aluminium seat post with graduated markings for easier adjustment.

Collar dimensions = 35 mm.

Seat post diameter = 28.6 mm.

Tool-free saddle height adjustment (quick-release).

Lighting

The Riverside 520E has built-in lights that are powered by the battery.

The front headlight is fixed to the fork and the rear light is under the saddle.

The cables are routed through the frame and seat post.

It has a powerful 20 lux LED light that has a wide beam of light.

The lights are controlled on the handlebars via the control screen.

Crank / Pedals

The Riverside 520 electric is supplied with versatile single-piece plastic pedals with a wide pedalling surface to help keep the foot on the pedal.

Accessories

Your Riverside 520E has integrated front and rear 120 lumen headlights so you can see and be seen.

Comes with a kickstand, bell, wheel reflectors and pedals.
