Decathlon Buy Back is an easy and convenient service where you can sell your unwanted items back to us. The process is straightforward and quick, while ensuring you receive the best possible value for your items. -
Why does Decathlon offer Buy Back?
At Decathlon, we are always looking for ways to innovate and improve our customers' experience. By offering a Buy Back service, Decathlon can further support new sustainability initiatives and offer customers access to more affordable products. -
Who can use Decathlon Buy Back?
Decathlon Buy Back is available to My Decathlon account holders. If you don’t have an account yet, you can register for one HERE. -
What information do I need to get a quote?
We will need to know the make and model of your item. To find this information, you might be able to check the original purchase receipt or it can often be found on the item near the barcode or reference number. -
What happens during the final valuation process?
Our technicians will check your item, using the information you provided and confirm the final quote. During this process, they will check for wearable parts that need to be replaced. We carry out checks and replace parts that you might think don’t need to be replaced; however, this is part of Decathlon standard tolerance checks.
Based on this, the quote may be adjusted and you will have the option to continue with the Buy Back process or not.
Please ensure that your item is as clean as possible to facilitate a quick and easy inspection. If the item is excessively dirty, we may be unable to provide a final quote. -
Do I need to come to a store with my item?
Yes, it is mandatory to come into our stores with the product so the item can be assessed and valued correctly. -
How do I get paid for my item?
You will receive an email with your gift card that needs to be downloaded before using. You can use this gift card towards purchases online and in-store. -
What happens to the items Decathlon buys back?
Once the Buy Back process is complete and the quote has been confirmed, Decathlon retains ownership of the items. These items are then repaired and refurbished, if necessary, before being resold as part of our Second Life range in stores. -
Where can I buy Second Life items?
You can explore our Second Life products during your next store visit. Our team will be happy to assist you in locating them. -
What items do you Buy back?
Our Buy Back program is available for bikes from all brands. However, if you have an e-bike, it must be a Decathlon brand. Any electrical fitness equipment must also be Decathlon brand. -
How do I get a quote for my item?
Visit our stores to chat with our workshop experts. They will ask a few questions about your product to provide you with a price estimate. -
How do I know if my item is in good enough condition for buyback?
Your item must be in good condition with no major damage or rust. If you have a bike, it cannot have a carbon frame or carbon forks. All other equipment must be in working condition, clean and operable. Each item is assessed in store on a case by case basis. This may mean that your item is not suitable for buyback and will not be accepted by our workshop team.
